Mah wig.My Lightning wig arrived in the mail today! When I opened it, I was a little angry. It looked a LOT darker than I had hoped it'd be. Lightning's hair is really light pink. But, I took it out in the sunlight and it looked closer to the shade it was supposed to be. I was apprehensive to take it fully out of the package (since I couldn't return it if I did) but I relented and tried it on. It's BEAUTIFUL. I was shocked at how much like lightning I already looked even though the wig wasn't styled yet, nor was I wearing any makeup! Talk about total customer satisfaction! There's a little fuzzy hair I need to fix in the back, but that won't be hard.

Hmmm... yeah I might say it's a touch darker but honestly not by much and if your in good light, like they have it on the website I don't think people will notice or honestly care. It's just the perfectionist in you finding flaws with it honestly i'm the same in that regard.

Perfectionism is my flaw. Which is quite ironic. I like to get things right the first time so I have no regrets later, you know? XD

Yup I totaly understand were your coming from, when I made my Bleach Ikkau cosplay costume I fussed over every tiny detail, was constantly going over to talk with my mother who sewed making sure she got all the details right. Even while making the prop studied as many pictures as I could drew out plans revised them then hunted for what I couldn't make.
But in the end it was all a labor of love, and getting some praise and having my picture taken made it all worth it.

I was tempted to buy a light blonde wig and dye it myself with sharpies, but I guess this will do for me.

Not really. First you take the ink out and put it in a spray bottle. Since you don't want a dark pink, dilute it with water or alchohol. :3 Spray on color! Then you wash it out (after it dries) to let the access come of so it doesn't get on your clothes.

The wig does look a lot brighter on the website. Which is why wig sellers should skip all the fancy lighting and just take regular indoors/outdoors photos >.<
