After years of stubbornly being alone, she finally gave in and went to a shelter. There she was able to get some therapy to help her work towards getting past her father's death, as well as the fact that her father wasn't as great as she once believed. It would take time, but she will get better, in the meantime she was able to make a small necklace. (sta.sh/01q3vl72xco2 ) while at the shelter. Years later, she decided to pay a visit back to where she once called home. When Dusk answered the door instead of her mother, she couldn't seem to shrink small enough to avoid his gaze.
"What do you want?" Dusk
"I-I just wanted to apologize?"
Dusk scoffed "Apologize? And what good do you think apologizing is going to do now? You think your apology is going to make up for the years of hell you and your father put me through?"
"I-I know... I just.. my therapist thought... I just..." Galaxy stuttered, not prepared for this. She didn't expect to be welcomed back with open hooves, but she didn't expect this.
Dusk sighed, rubbing his hoof between his eyes "Look, I see what your trying to do and it's great that your getting help but it's going to take a lot more than an apology to make things right."
"I know… Galaxy began to walk away, head hanging low.
"But it's a start."
Galaxy's ears perked up, turning to give a soft, tearful smile before continuing her way back to the shelter.

I tried to give Gal a bit of an uplifting ending, maybe it's just my nature but I always like to see even the most hated characters have a sort of uplifting ending to them
