We've developed it a bit further so that she also uses pseudoderm if she needs the subject to remain alive and some unknown mystical rituals as well (because the comics keep it really vague and when she impersonates someone like Harvey Bullock, there needs to be some sort of explanation).

this character always confused me. how can she make someone's skin fit as perfectly as a "Mission Impossible" mask? how can she impersonate people for months without the skin ever decaying? how can she be alive if she herself has no skin and must be getting infected out the wazoo? (at least she HAD skin when she first appeared)

Honestly thought this was a character you created until I did some digging around. Seemed a little too Game of Thrones-ish, like she was Roose Bolton's long lost sister or something.
