I have to say as much I love comics, and I love the characters in them, I value originality, more when it works, sure, as much I like that some thing come close to the source material, when people create something originals and it work, I always fight to keep it as it is, and not gone down to the past, as the purist like so much. I was a total fan of Dinah Lance, but now at days, discounting the DC perpetual pairings in the comics, she works more as a pairing for freaking Superman (I have read a very good fanfic about that than Lois Lane) but with the Green Arrow now needs something different, he doesn't need a fighter like him, he needs a brain, so Felicity works much better as a pairing to him that Dinah Lance did in the past, because they complement each other, I care less about the stupid purist, as a I say if DC was brave with Superman as it was with Green Arrow, Dinah would be in Metropolis and not in Star City, because Superman needs someone that is a fighter a meta-human that understand his issues, that isn't freaking Wonder Woman.Β
But of course DC never would do that, Superman is a mayor character, the only reason why they did something original with Green Arrow is that he is a minor character, is a shame that they didn't have the guts to stick with it. But well, their low ratings are the price for their stupidity.
