Just to be clear, in Earth-27, Tefe has four parents. Swamp Thing and Poison Ivy begat the Sprout, a sentient plant lifeform. Then Swamp Thing possessed John Constantine to sire a child in Abby Holland and used the essence of the dying Sprout to possess this child in utero.

...How did that work on the genetic scale? Since we know Tefé is Sprout, she seems to have inherited some of Swamp Thing's power. Does she technically have three parents, with Constantine's DNA mixed with Swamp Thing's... DNA or essence or what have you? Or did this possession totally override Constantine's DNA and TefΓ© is half-plant person?Β

For Earth-27 purposes, Abby and John are Tefe's biological parents but Swamp Thing and the essence of an elemental originally intended to replace Swamp Thing also contributed to Tefe's unique conception. Basically, Tefe has a the body of a human, but the soul of a plant.
