the beast stayed huddled up to Danielle, holding her up in it's fur, letting her relax while it wrapped it's paws in front of itself

She wanted to fall asleep but she kinda didn't but in the end she did anyway, man she had no control over her sleep.

the beast smirked as she fell asleep and gently put a paw to her back, supporting her while she slept and letting her rest into it's warm fur. it rested it's head on it's free paw while she slept

Her breathing was a bit wonky and all over the place but at least she wasn't moving around like before.

the beast listened to her quietly, just to make sure she was alright while she slept

From the expression on her face you could tell she was not having a pleasant dream. But that seemed to be all.

the beast watched her sleep, now seeing that she was having a bad dream she kept a watchful eye over her, ready to wake her if needed

After a while it was fine, that is until she started subconsciously clawing at herself... what sort of dream was this exactly...?

the beast watched as this, it got a little worried and nudge Danielle with it's paw

She rolled over, and continued, well she was going to be sure when she wakes up.

the beast sighs lightly and gently nudges her hoping to either wake her or quell her nightmares

She murmured "No give me five more minutes" before lying pretty much completely still.

the beast raised a brow at her statement... but let her sleep, now that she wasn't hurting herself anyways

After a minute she was sleeping like a normal person, well apart from the occasional mutters but That was pretty normal.

the beast relaxes once seeing she was sleeping normally. s it rested it's head back onto its paw

It was pretty peaceful except for the occasional gun shot from the distance.. but that was also normal, I think.

the beast flinched a bit at the gun shots and looked towards the noises nervously, feeling like bolting from the area and taking Danielle with it

It's strange since they didn't seem to be getting nearer or farther.

the beast listened intently, seeming both terrified and curious of the hunters. it honestly didn't know what to do with the situation

But after a while they'd definitely come closer, but not close enough to see them, yet.

the beast started to freak out lightly and shuffled nervously. beginning to poke at Danielle while staring towards the sound worriedly

"5 more minutes" She whined and covered her face with her arms, not seeming to hear the gunshots at all.

the beast whined loudly at Danielle before looking to the sounds again in an absolute tizzy

Yep they were definitely closer but one gunshot made her jump up and in front of the beast, looking around for where it was coming from.

the beast hair raised in fear and it stood up, looking around confusedly for the source of the shots as well

Just as she was about to say something a bullet flew past their heads coming from the west of them.

the beast yelps and ducks before quickly starting to back up in fear

"Hey I'll protect you, got that?" She said harshly but sweetly.

the beast whines lightly but becomes still at her words. it nods lightly

"Hey I'll be back in a sec, okay? I'll see if I can drive them away" She smiled and turned to where the bullet came from.

the beast nodded and slowly sat down to wait for her

She waved and headed in the direction until she was out of Sight.

the beast watched as she left but stayed put

An hour later she came back drenched in blood and collapsed on the floor next to the beast, still managing to give it a thumbs up.

the creature whined loudly at seeing the state she was in. but then did something strange, it sat back on it's hind lags and it's paws formed to hands. it gently picked Danielle up and looked her over to see if she was okay

She had a few wounds on her stomach, face and left arm but not much else.

it whines again before taking it's thumb and licking it, only to wipe it over the wounds to numb the pain and held the healing process

She groaned and forced out a grin "H..ey I.. I'm o...kay"

the beast whined again, not really believing that. it stood up and began to check around frantically for anyone that could help her

There didn't seem to be anyone hmm well if she could use her phone that would help, but being as weak as she is, she wouldn't be able to type a thing.

the beast got a hard resolve and uses it's claws to gently take her phone and flick it open. the creature looks the phone over to see what it could do

It could pretty much anything a modern phone could do, with an exception of a few things and it only seemed to have two contacts which was strange.

the beast snorts before trying to... "interact" with one of the two contacts

The phone stared ringing until a voice said "Oh um hey Dodger what's up..?" Whoever this guy was he seemed to be acting awkwardly.

the beast paused at the voice. it thought for a moment before ting out a growl that sounded a lot like "hello"

"Uh hey, Uhm I'm sorry about earlier, but do you need anything, you sound.. strange" This guy was curious that was for sure.

the beast let out a curious warble before letting out a plea of "help... where, was last time" she was trying to say that she was where they had last found her

"Of course, we'll be right there!" He hung up shortly after. As for Danielle, she had passed out completely.

the beast listened as he hung up and sighed. it then looks to Danielle and frowns lightly, it prayed they got there soon

About half an hour later the two boys from earlier ran into the scene, at this point she was awake, and the two pointed their guns at the beast, that was before she crawled in front of where they were shooting and murmured out a pained "Don't... hurt... I...t..!"
