THEGREATTITANICCHICK [2012-08-06 20:57:15 +0000 UTC]

can this be made with jewlry wire and what size beads did you use?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rrkra In reply to THEGREATTITANICCHICK [2012-08-07 21:39:54 +0000 UTC]

It was meant to be made with thread... Very tricky to make with wire.
The beads are size 11 Toho (japanese seed beads)

THEGREATTITANICCHICK In reply to Rrkra [2012-08-07 22:33:02 +0000 UTC]

Ah okay, well i was thinking like a very thin guage of wire, like 32 g or something to pose it better ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rrkra In reply to THEGREATTITANICCHICK [2012-08-08 18:47:08 +0000 UTC]

It has a lot of places where thread changes direction... And that's where wire will tangle and get 'knots'
So I'm not sure if it's a good idea...

For step thirteen it looks like there are two diagrams. Why and which ine do I use and what is it/they are telling me?

Rrkra In reply to crystal-rain-fox [2012-01-15 13:34:42 +0000 UTC]

They show tubular ndebele (herringbone). First one is the starting row (how I did it), but starting with ladder stitch is good too. Second just shows how to make more rows.
Look at this: [link] and there is a photo tutorial here: [link]

i'm making a beaded spyro and would like to make his horns, but i am not sure about how to do that

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Rrkra In reply to crystal-rain-fox [2010-12-15 18:45:44 +0000 UTC]

*I meant something like there [link] Tho I think she used wire for horns.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Rrkra In reply to crystal-rain-fox [2010-12-15 18:44:01 +0000 UTC]

Oh. You can try make the horn with several bead sizes (bigger beads at the bottom, then small ones for the top)
Or the same way as tail spikes here- Maybe bugles or claw-shaped beads will work too.

How big are these in comparison to the one by [link] ? Can you compare it to a regular household item? Also, would the wings from you wing tut work in this guy?
