If any of you remember my idea for a humanized comic AU for bionicle, here's a test for the style I want to take the comic in. I'm not sure I love its look just yet, so some feedback or ideas on how I should take the linework would be appreciated!So in this scene, the newly formed Toa would find their first mask and decide who gets to keep it among the six. I'm pretty sure you can tell who is who in this scene, so I won't go through the list. I'm just still working on the final designs of the Toa and seeing if any other directions need to be taken with their designs. I think my favorite out of the six's designs is Pohatu, he kind of loos like a pirate with the headband and all. I'm still sticking with Lewa, Gali, and Kopaka being girls, Pohatu, Onua, and Tahu will stay males. In this comic, I'll bring back some characters from the first gen and their genders might change as well, but I won't say who~! And yes, Bionicle gen 2 characters will be in the story as well, as well as the island being called Okoto. I just wanted there to be a name difference between the island and Mata Nui himself.
If you guys have anymore questions or feedback, I wanna hear it, I'm thinking of starting further development on this comic when I have my summer break! Till then, you all have a nice day!

This is really amazing xD! I mean with this picture alone you already capture the personalities of the Toa and their desings are really interesting ^^. My only wished would be for them to wear proper armor but that's jus a nitpick ^^U.
Please, do a comic of this AU. It deserves to be expanded and I'm sure you'll do an amazing work.

I like this version of humanized Bionicle characters. Kind of makes me wish to see a human version/series of the Bionicle story like with what's going on with Ninjago (which I see a lot of fan art and love for it from time to time) and Nexo Knights. Maybe the story could be told so that it isn't complex for everyone and it will be easier to follow. Maybe that would have a certain appeal to a newer generation.

Very cool! I'm curious about how masks work in your humanized AU, since they don't seem to be wearing their normal masks. Do they only put them on when they need their power?

Thank you! Yeah, instead of constantly wearing them, they carry them at their sides until they need to put them on. I'm limiting them to two masks per Toa, it kind of gives them a sense of vulnerability and I want to do something with this in the story.

Very good overall, like I've mentioned before, and I'd watch/read the hell outta it.
Some (very) minor constructive criticism, though:
- It might be good to let Kopaka be more (ahem) 'feminine' (per se), since newcomers might believe she's still a guy (like G1 & G2). Try letting her hair flow a teeny bit more (a bit longer, maybe? she looks a bit like a K-pop star to me at the moment).
- If going for an introverted girl (sorta), you might wanna consider Raven (Teen Titans)'s design. She's reserved and whatnot, yes, and doesn't have any makeup/eyeliners/obvious details, but one glance and you'd know she's a girl.
- Is Onua still the wise guy of the group? If so, I might recommend visual aid for his design, eg books? glasses? etc, to help signify to newcomers that hey, this brute is much smarter than people think!
- You might wanna consider Lewa's design to be a bit of a genki/thrillseeker/adrenaline-junkie type (similar to Wyldstyle from The Lego Movie), with a jacket-sort (kinda like Dipper from Gravity Falls) maybe?
- Also, is Lewa still wearing that loincloth from the pre-initiation group pic?
And that's pretty much it! Definitely something to look forward to! Can't wait!

- I have considered if I should make her more feminine, but I have a story reason for her appearance that you'll have to wait and see why that reason is.
- Yup! He's going to be a wise guy leader! While I wouldn't necessarily put books or glasses - keeping their appearances primitive - maybe a few scrolls at his side would be nice. That is true!
- Maybe! I'm trying to make her look more wild, I've been messing around with her design, making some clothing pieces short (much to her father's dismay, I bet) But I'll see what I can do!
- Yup! Since she's the youngest of them all, she'll be the only one wearing that loincloth.

Lewa looks like she took some design ques from Pidge in Voltron.

Ooooh, they look beautiful! The lineart looks great to me, it's very clean! I suppose if I had any suggestions at all, I would suggest a little more contrast in the colors between the characters (to my terrible eyes it is a little hard to tell where one ends and another begins), but honestly that's probably a problem with me, not with your art. I gotta agree with you on Pohatu; he looks spot on! The first thing I think of when I see his design is Pohatu. Gali, too! Can't wait to see more of your comic this summer

Most of the 2001-3 matoran will be present, they'll only be a tiny bit shorter than their toa counterparts. I'm currently working on each of their designs as well as some extra characters and their designs *hint hint* the Toa's families. There will also be plenty of villages in each region for the matoran, but more on that later.

Okay i got some questions in regards of the characters from gen 1.
Are u bringing back the characters from the Yesterday Quest (Zaria, Orde, Chiara and Gelu)?
And also, are some of characters from the order of mata nui gonna be it too?
I know thats a lot of characters but i will leave u to decide. Just curious whether u are adding them
