Description
This is my entry for theBA Tournament 2012 RND1
[link]
The task was:
Take any Character/Characters from the He-Man UNIVERSE and turn them into a ZOMBIE.
So I took Skeletor and Evil-Lyn.
All artwork is done in PHOTOSHOP CS3.
In my mind Skeletor is already a zombie of some kind, or udead any way. So i took the consept of now that Evil-Lyn is a zombie they can finaly be together kind of a play on
'Can love bloom on the battle field' quote taken from Metal Gear sold from the Playstation.

Beautiful piece - got that bride of Frankenstein vibe. The heavy shading on all that white really helps give it a lot of power.

You are correct. I only notice that once it was completed though. It was like my brain was secretly wanting to make Skeletor into Batman!

I definitely dig the touches of red. Adds a nice bit of contrast.

It works man. It gives an extra bit of contrast, and I like it. I've been doing the same type of thing for my recent speedpaints. Black and white with a splash of color.

The funny thing is that the simple colour consept can be the hardest thing 2 learn. Following the idea that less can be more. I still have not mastered that, I over work stuff all the time only to find that it would have looked better with 10mins work compared to 60min work. But i am going on a tangent.
Thanx for the comments always good to have feed back

This is quite true. Sometimes simple is a lot harder than it sounds. I draw heavy intensive detail works, so keeping it simple is hard, and for that I can see where you're coming from. It just takes time to work with different approaches. I've decided to make the most of my strengths and go with putting my own spin on work and doing detail work because it's just my style.
You're always welcome man. I'll be sure to drop in a few comments on your future work
