Seems like a fusion of Native American pictography, Elvan (top section) and Pictish... and exquisitly done too! P.

I've always loved the Picts, and have been doing a Nectansmere impression in all my Living History pursuits.

Thanks Robert. Yeah, coming from the NE of Scotland I have a strong affinity with the Picts, and have always felt drawn to all things Pictish. In fact, all three of my tattoos are Pictish too

One thing though, what do you mean by doing a "Nechtansmere impression"? Obviously I know Nechtansmere was a decisive Pictish victory but I don't get what you mean in the context of your sentence

Thanks again for the comment

I try, ( as best I can with extant evidence ) to do a Upper class Warrior of the Picts of 660-720 AD. The stones, the finds, lots of "roman" stuff found in Pictish sitez, and Northumbrian stuff to flesh out the holes in the archeological sources.
Only one of my tat's is Pictish. I have the stylized boar on my right shoulder.

...it would be great to see the warrior, I meant.
