In a timeline where he did get to Earth, he corrupted most of Goku's family and friends and nearly caused the death of Goku's granddaughter Pan after ordering Gohan and Videl, her parents he had possessed, to do so. It didn't go through, but even after Baby was defeated and the two were cured, it still left an impact, especially with Gohan.
