Lord Akuma [Monitor]: Luck is on your side, warriors. But it will not last long.
*The screen on the Knight Battle Jet turns off*
Lord Akuma: Bowser, Scorpion! To the Escape Pod, now!
Bowser: What about Geese and Magneto?
Lord Akuma: Take them with you!

*Scorpion and Bowser follow Lord Akuma into the Escape Pod, taking their comrades Geese and Magneto with them. They all take a seat and fasten their seatbelts*

*The Escape Pod flies out of the Knight Emperor Ship and heads for the fortress*

*The hatch opens. Mario, Sonic, Bomberman, Ryu and Pikachu look to the side. Patrick comes in and closes the hatch*

Patrick: *jumps into the Knight Battle Jet with a smile*
Sonic: Hey, Patrick! Long time no see.
Mario: Mama-mia, you have grown quite a lot.
Patrick: Well, actually that is my true human form. That, what you have seen years ago was my form as a child. I used it in disguise to prevent my nemesis from knowing, who I am. I have come to all of you here, when I found out that you have regained this very memory you have forgotten for so long. Of course it's me, Patrick Stephanan.
Sonic: The unbeaten champ of the World Warrior MUGEN Tournament.
Patrick: Not only that. I am also a human half-god and the Guardian of Time. When I discovered, that Akuma has obtained the gem, the power of Rare quickly surged into his body. This power has corrupted and turned Akuma into one of his slaves. Scorpion and Morrigan followed and they were also corrupted, but you all know this. In order to gain more power for Rare, he had to sacrifice 40 warriors and that means you all. When he brought you to the elemental realms, I had to leave my homeworld and find those realms, which I succeeded. When I found you all dead, I decided to use my magical abilities to resurrect those, who are forced to undergo the trials. I was the one, who created these portals connected to the living world and the elemental realms, before they collapsed. Ever since you defeated one of his forms, the fortress has risen from the depths of Nothingness. I have watched you all, fighting bravely and successfully defeating those, who serve Rare's purpose. I am most satisfied. Our battle however is far from over, for we need to face the next hardships in order to reach Rare.

Patrick: Do not worry, Aoyama. Akuma will NOT force his army to execute them, for the corruption is rather weak. Scorpion and Morrigan however were more powerfully corrupted, starting to threaten their slaves and their army, should they also do anything that would anger them.
Mario: Well, since you're joining us again... Wait! It was actually you, who guided us.
Patrick: That is correct.
Sonic: Well, since you're on our side again, we would like to give you some weapons we don't need amymore.
Patrick: I am fine with that. But remember: I can even carry two assault rifles. That is where you need to thank my strength for that.
Ryu: Very well. We will choose wisely, which weapons we should give to you.
Patrick: I will also request them.
