Although most of the surface of the capital was under the shadow of large skyscrapers and buildings of successful corporations, between the different sectors of the city there were large tracts of open space that became the large green areas of the capital.
The Kapunai Park was the natural border between the financial district and the eastern sector and its large size was conducive to becoming its own ecosystem with animals living in it. This propitiated that the civil passage was limited to a roads and areas to preserve and protect the fauna and flora that had settled there.
After the capture of the city center, this park would become the largest line of defense in the eastern sector where evacuations continued, and therefore numerous defense posts would be installed throughout the park in order to stop the enemy in the open area. Likewise, armor and traps would hide to wreak havoc on the enemy.
On the 53rd, the Alliance's armored offensive began and would find its breaking point in Kapunai Park, where artillery, ambushes and mines would cause huge casualties. Despite initial successes, the republican forces only defended the area to ensure the civil evacuation of the eastern sector and would withdraw to reinforce the defense of the sector.
