That doesn't surprise me that others are not giving me proper credit; it happens with everything, unfortunately.

Yeah, you can open the SteamScheme.res file in the Resource folder, and then change the RGB values of the green and blue used for the friends list. I am not on a computer with the skin available, so I don't remember exactly which values to change. I can look that up when I get back home later this week, if you need more help, that is. You will then also have to change the AvatarBorder*.tga files to match the new colors you have chosen.

Not really; that would just be one more variation I would have to maintain. Maybe if it become highly requested I would consider it.
However, I could release a .zip file with just the standard buttons, and give people steps to install them (it would just be overwriting one folder); I might be able to get that done tomorrow, if you would like.
