Tagged by the lovely RaycchanI'm not sure how I feel about racebending, and if it turns out I've done something horrible here I'll take it down, but, yeah for now this was a great time to practice different facial features that all follow a sort of unified theme. Though uh, not exactly sure how well I did.
Original: Caleb is a Japanese-American, so, yeah. Not a whole lot there.
Albino: Cause it's a common choice I think?
Ainu: Indigenous people because fuck yeah.
British/English: The only white-washing on this entire thing, and I mostly did it because on the American side, Caleb's ancestors are English, as Sawyer is an English surname.
Iraqi: Technically could be generalized as Arabic, but you know, wanted to go for something more specific.
Latino: Another popular choice so I figured why not~
North Indian: Another popular choice that I said "why not" to as well~
South African: This one probably stands out the most, but you know what I wanted to try doing something other than silky smooth wispy hair. Definitely a thing I gotta break out of doing.
Yeah, anywho, this was done pretty quickly, so pardon the sketchy lines and flat colours. I wanted to make sure I wasn't just copy and pasting with different colours though, so, you know, that's why it took a day.
As for who to tag, you know what, everyone will probably get tagged at some point. I'm just gonna tag everyone who sees this and wants in. Show us your gorgeous nuzbabs.

That's exactly it, too- you're only never learning if you're not applying yourself. And we've all seen what you can do art wise, so I mean, really if anyone can slap same-face out of the equation, you can do it twice as hard : D

Yea, I think part of the issue was that I never found a good way to go about it. Actually forcing myself to use certain designs in a comic actually provides some motivation because people actually look at it (I think) rather then when I practice on my own. :'D Lol thanks man! So many lovely cultures and peoples- I personally hope the meme takes off so much that a bunch of under-represented ethnicities are given a shot at the spotlight, and people learn about/make new characters with these ethnicities ;;u;;;

As kind of a side note, Albino people don't have red irises like animals, they just don't have a lot of pigment in their eyes giving them a really light blue/purple color and they're more prone to "red eye" in photographs. I wasn't going to mention it since it's more a nitpick, but I thought you might actually want to know if you didn't already. ;w;/

Mhm! Like, it makes me happy to see more and more diverse characters show up through the MOGAI spectrum, and lately I've seen more people adding POC's into their runs as more than just stereotypes or as political corrections. It's such a lovely thing to witness

It's like, it's great because it's an entire community bringing forth something new and positive, you know? It's the community that's evolving, and in turn bringing in more diverse characters with diverse stories and development. Heck, you made a post on tumblr one time about how people were so happy that John was demi, and how they were so surprised that a character so well developed and badass shared their sexual orientation. Like man, seeing that stuff happen, it just makes you want to be more diverse, without treading into the whole clichΓ©s or stereotypes bit I mean.

You probably already know by now, but they're a group of people indigenous to the north island of Hokkaido japan- oddly enough they look more like a "white person" than a Japanese person, and grow the worlds biggest beards. Sadly they're treated as badly by the Japanese public as Native Americans are treated here in North America :'D
