Description
Balestrino is a very strange place. It's located in Liguria (Italy), in the mountains behind Toirano. The whole old town has been completely abandoned in 1953 because of geological instability. Nevertheless, a dozens of meters away from these forgotten alleys and squares, the new Balestrino survives.Related content

A real airey feel about it. I think the black and white was a good choice for this photograph. I really like it.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked my choice for b/w. I think that in general the absence of colour helps to underline the lines and shapes of an image. In this case I wanted also to enhance the ancient taste of a decaying, abandoned city.
PS: I tried to explain you my choice to the best of my capabilities, but obviously English is not my mother tongue: feel free to correct any hideous mistakes
