InformationHoly guacamole, batman, this was a ride! The finished gorgeous Aconite for WhiteRabbit-Hearted .
I started out thinking "oh this is such a nice and simple design, it'll be done in a couple hours tops!" .......but you see, Ruanly never learns his lesson. Those scales, man. xD First time painting scales but I learned a lot and I'm pleased with their turn-out! The color scheme is one of my all-time favorites so that was, of course, very enjoyable, and I love to paint blue hair as much as I hate to paint red, so that was wonderful, too--though I did repaint the mane flow 4 times hahah. This was a huge challenge in "shiny horse," too, because she's modeled after a poison dart frog and therefore, having mucus-y skin, needs hyper-shine. Oh that is so coincidental, I can't do traditional to save my life. I don't mean it as an exaggeration or to insult myself--I genuinely do traditional art at like a 4th grade level.
