Well, as a Mexican illustrator, Iยดm really proud of the ancient cultures that lived in my country some centuries ago.This picture shows an Aztec warrior, The only one who couldn dominate the fierce god-creature known as QUETZALCOATL , (the feathered serpent).
an Oil painting showing the courage and proud of our prehispanic past.

From what I've read about Quetzalcoatl, he was not considered fierce or malicious, he was actually probably one of the nicest and most benevolent of Aztec gods who even acted more like a humble monk than a god. He was also one of the only Aztec gods who was opposed to the practice of human sacrifice.

Impressing painting! I really like it. All those details - are made with a fantastic accuracy. And the colors are perfectly harmonized.
And.. this fact is true: the prehispanic civilizations had fantastic cultures. In my opinion, we ought to remember what the past had to say.. These prehispanic cultures will always live. I admire Native Americans ( from all countries of the Americas ) a lot. They deserve respect for everything good which other people have learned from them.

Very good job. I think you represented the marshal and spiritual nature of the Aztecs nicely. Nice choice of weapon I might add (my screen-name is that weapon in Nahuatl-the Aztec language). Bravo.
