And finally! My Origin Rayquaza for 's contest.Wish me luck
Edit: lol, I almost forgot about the history/introduction part...
One day a meteor almost crashed into the earth, but Rayquaza had already shattered the meteor before it could. Inside the meteor there was an intruder: Deoxys. Rayquaza wanted to protect the earth from the intruder and tried to destroy it, but it was too strong. After a long fight Deoxys learnt to multiply itself and it invaded the earth. Rayquaza couldn't do a thing to stop Deoxys. Desperately he sought and sought, trying to find someone who could possibly help him. One creature, from another world, had seen everything and showed up before Rayquaza. He told Rayquaza to come with him. And so Rayquaza went to the other world, the world of Giratina. Giratina told him everything about the strange world, about the origin and about why everything looked so different, including Giratina itself. Rayquaza looked at its own body and saw he had also changed! He had backlegs and his patterns had changed too!
Giratina wanted to help Rayquaza and came up with a plan. The Deoxys could stay in the Other World. All they had to do was luring Deoxys in it.
They set a trap and they succeeded. The Deoxys were very satisfied with their new home and decided to stay there.

I think you are the only one that made a fan-made Primal Rayquaza and added slightly more depth to him. The patterns remind me of aΒ quetzalcoatl and now he looks more like a classic Asian dragon then a lindworm.Β

But thanks! It's a quite old piece of mine actually, but yeah.. I think you might call it Primal instead of Origin.Β
I always imagined Rayquaza to have hind legs as well. And your explanation makes sense. I just might redraw him again, once... perhaps...

It would also make sense for him to have had four legs in the past. But then when it became more aerial and didn't actually need to land, it lost it's back legs but kept the front legs so that it could hold things like food etc.Β
And if you remake it as a Primal Rayquaza then it should have more glowing parts like his weather siblings. Also this guy looks like he has a bow on his back and tie on his chest. Not really fitting for the badass he normally is.Β

Serpentine, but it still needs a flat body like it currently has with arms.
