First off, Omniverse does not suck . Sure, the story lines at times are a bit random, but the art work is a nice change from the constant seriousness if UAF.
That aside, I love this pic. I would have thought Ben would be Blitzwolfer, but Wildmutt is a lot better.
As for the Anur Transyl scene, perfect sense; by defunding yourself as the inhabitants, they won't attack! Brilliant!

Because the Omnitrix still times out and Ben doesn't know how to lock in a transformation so he doesn't have to turn back. It also creates dramatic tension and shows just how terrified of humans the residents of the planet were.
