How many robots does it take to make a squishy? ...2 and a few friends on the other side of the universe.Alright! *facedesk* So after quite the unnecessarily lengthy period between start and finish (and even a point of re-motivation along the way), I've got page one done! Granted it could've been done quicker, but it was a project of my own accord, so it was a wee bit slow once the moment passed. Anywhonzit, this will hopefully be the start of a little collar comic between myself and ~kanashi-zeneck on the topic of the creation of one of my characters I've been sketching lately! Hopefully this'll help me get my feet wet in making decent comics.

Freaking fantastic dude. You are really improving in your modeling of your characters. they actually have anatomy and volume. I'm damn impressed.

I do think you need some sort of lighting, or using a less dark gray. just something to brighten the mood. it is coming off a little ominous, not sure if its intended that way.

Haha, thanks a million man! Anatomy's starting to come to me a little easier as of lately. Granted it still takes effort to bring it out, but none of the characters are looking as stiff or as strange as they used to be! As for HB, I kinda thought he'd do better with some hands lol! The squared ends were nice for shape, but impractical and difficult to draw him doing anything.
Now, as far as the lighting and colors goes, that was something I could've done but chose not to unfortunately. This had been sitting on my desktop for so long, the moment I got the speech bubbles finished, I just kinda decided I'd skip the colors and what not since I'd probably hit another mental roadblock and it's sit on my desktop for even longer. Now that's not to say it isn't supposed to be ominous. I've started to make HB a bit more warped and devious than he used to be, but not too much. The facility is all underground, so it sorta adds to the mood if it weren't very well lit. It's all sorta still up in the air, but hopefully by the next page I'll be having colors thrown into the mix!

Looking god so far! I know you are going for a dark mood but I think perhaps it's a little too dark, unless thats what you intended

Oh? Are you referring to the actual color background or perhaps the dialogue? I can still tweak quite a bit since I still have to file in layers haha!

The actual background... its hard to discern the characters from the backgrounds since they dont have any defining colours.Again, unless thats what you wnated..

Ah yes, well the background is as dark as I intended the area to be since it takes place in an underground cavity (although I never really pointed it out haha!). I was going to color in some simple shades on the characters and maybe some bits of the large machine, but I had already put this off for so long. I had the lines and dialogue down, so I decided to just forgo the colors and get it up while I could lol!
On the next page, I will hopefully putting in some basic shades at least.
