Second work from my mask collection. Here comes... Envy!Envy
Like greed, Envy (Latin, invidia) may be characterized by an insatiable desire; they differ, however, for two main reasons. First, greed is largely associated with material goods, where as envy may apply more generally. Second, those who commit the sin of envy resent that another person has something they perceive themselves as lacking, and wish the other person to be deprived of it. Dante defined this as a desire to deprive other men of theirs." In Dante's Purgatory, the punishment for the envious is to have their eyes sewn shut with wire because they have gained sinful pleasure from seeing others brought low. Aquinas described envy as "sorrow for another's good".

Intuisco che tu voglia rappresentare i sette peccati capitali con delle maschere da teatro. E' un progetto bellissimo, buona fortuna
Devo dire però che Pride mi piaceva di più, sia perché l'immagine in sé era più "completa" che per il fatto che Envy ha una sfumatura degli angoli a mio parere eccessiva. Comunque molto bello anche questo.

Si, purtroppo ho la brutta abitudine di adorare tutto ciò che è oscuro, e tendo a fare troppo scure molte delle mie manipulations.
Sto cercando in qualche modo di correggere questa mia tendenza, ma ogni tanto scappa la mano.

L'interpretazione del chiaroscuro è, in linea di massima, personale. Non credo sia un difetto fare le foto troppo adombrate, sto solo dicendo che a me piacciono di più con più luce, e magari provando a farle più luminose potresti preferirle anche tu così. Nel caso in cui così non fosse mantieni la tua tecnica, ogni artista deve essere innanzitutto coerente con se stesso, è questo il bello del fare arte!
