Description
Character full-body pic for original character Tern.Very simple coloring on penciled lineart. I'm house-sitting a friend's home but I can't find where the tablet pen for their tablet is, so am resorting to pencil. Simple coloring is also due to my lack of mouse-dexterity.

Mmmmm I like his cape. XD Very nice color-choices!!
And x_x I don't know how I ever survived using the mouse to color. Using a tablet now makes me realize how painstaking my colorings used to take. Yare yare~ X_x

Ok, I;ve always wondered. How do you color a sketch without making another layer and outlining it? Whenever I try the only way I can make color apear on it without hurting the outline is to turn the opasity down to about 50 and coloring it on a layer under it.

What do you mean? The lineart is on layer 1, my coloring is on different layers underneath. Set the lineart layer to Multiply.

ok. Whenever I try to color my scanned pictures I do just that, but without setting my lineart to multiply. What does Multiply do to the lineart? I also have my coloring underneath the lineart, but I can't figure out how to make the lineart transparent after scanning the picture without ruining the original sketchy lines. Does that make sence? (I'm really not very good at explaining things ^^''')

You set the layer itself to "multiply", so it is transparent.

Aww, thank you ^^ I might recolor once I get access to a tablet with a pen, and then make it an official deviation. Thanks for the comment~
