Small little sketch...Continuing on a similar art approach, I sketched Riku in pencil, but then shoved some colors and haphazard textures on it in Photoshop. Hmm... Too harsh/dry looking? I wanted to mimic watercolors.
I'm trying to find a good coloring tutorial for Painter for beginners.... as in, baby-step beginners. (Have have Painter IX.) I'm looking to find out how to bring the pencil lineart into Painter and then coloring. Photoshop is nice, but I really like the feel/look of Painter (seems more "natural"?)

Wow, just amazing.
I'd suggest trying a softer-looking outline for the picture, but leaving the harsher-looking pencil for the details.
but that's my opinion. the picture is awsome.

It does look like watercolor, and at first I thought it was. The only part that doesn't quite fit how watercolor reacts to paper is on the skin. Someone about that just doesn't scream 'watercolor' to me, but it's still really great.
could I say 'watercolor' anymore? xD;

Watercolors rock. It looks really good! I can't do watercolor effects to save my life. I tried using Painter, but it only worked for me in greyscale. [link] is my terrible failure. Jaundice ftw (not really)

I'm enjoying the feel of the sketch. How it goes from a dark out lining to a bright aqua blue. Nice.
