Description
Some post-3.13 art.I hope for some Male Bonding guy antics in future episodes, such as Sokka and Zuko fighting with swords. Now they can practice and keep their sword fighting skills sharp!

I think Zuko would kick Sokka's butt all the way back to the South Pole just because he's more experienced and (in my mind at least) older. Even if it was just practice
And I'm not even a fan of Zuko! At least not a rabid one anyway >.>

I tried to go a more "painterly" route. In my opinion, my background art was stronger when I didn't have outline, and went with the flow, so I tried it this time with the characters. More attention to the light and darkness of an object, instead of "filling in the lines" coloring-book style.

Oh, wow, the view-point thing on this is just wonderful! I love the closeness of Sokka's sword and the way the hands further away disappear a little. Tis great, great, great!

I know that there are some glaring flaws in this (facial anatomy especially...). Advanced critique would be welcomed, and kept in mind for future works.

you know, i totally agree!! we haven't seen any totally butch sokka sword fighting for hecka episodes, but now that zuko's in the group, he can finally get some action! (*cough* not that kind XD, though i wouldn't mind either way. >///<

I love the simple movement in this picture. It's really fantastic. The loose coloring helps with the movement, of course, but it's also so striking and puts a big difference between Zuko and Sokka. I like the no-line-but-line effect, considering that the swords don't seem to have any lines, but most of their body does.
Although, I do think that maybe the thrown sword should've been a little closer to Zuko, considering I didn't see it until taking a second glance.

DITTO THERE!!!! If the episodes have more Toph-Zuko interactio, and a honest sword sparring/training with Zuko, I shall be VEEERRRRRYYYYY happy! Sokka shall find a friend in Zuko!!!

Um like a brush opacity. One way is like making the bruush on the settings wet, and the opacity lighter, and reffered to by a couple artists as Spicey. x3 that's what I mean.

I don't think Zuko can teach Sokka anything. I firmly believe Sokka is smarter than Zuko can ever hope to be. Piandao had trouble teaching him because he was just far too creative. Zuko might have had more experience with his broadswords, but Sokka is just too intelligent for the hot-headed young prince.
