Hey all! I just moved about a week ago, so I haven't been doing much lately. In the moving process I found a bunch of color pencils I hadn't used in years, and my roommate had a box full too. Decided to test them out.So, this is the first time in about, uh, 4 (?) years working with color pencils. It's fun to have something *physical* to work with but I really miss the Ctrl+Z (undo!) function of photoshop hahaha. When I make a mistake, I mentally do Ctrl+Z, then feel embarrassed. Messy, too. My hand is tired from pressing down on the paper (to get rid of the annoying white spots).
I wanted to draw Reno, but I love Vincent's long dark hair.

Wow, for not working with coloured pencil for four years, you've still got the touch, I'd say. I think anyone who's worked digitally for any extended period of time does the mental CTRL+z thing... I know I do. <_< Anyway - great job.
Oh, yes, I hate the little white spec things, too. (Which is why I prefer marker.... but...) Prismacolors are good for getting rid of them, becuase of the colourless blender, which most other brands don't have. Prismacolors, however, are wax-based, and act a lot like crayons, sometimes, from what I've found... You make them really work, though! Awesome!

Yeah I learned how to avoid losing a welldrawn picture to a coloring mistake I have to trace another copy of my pictures and just color the copy insead of the original so I don't screw them over with my horrible coloring.
Great job drawing vincent. He is my secret imaginary boyfriend.
I love this picture. YTou did a greast job on his hair and the coloring is great. The white spts are a killer to get rid of but you did a great job.

what kind of pencils did you use?
cause I swear to god if they were crayola I'm gonna die cause I've had no success with that brand at all
white spots are so annoying ToT I understand your pain. (it's why alot of my pics look like they were done in markers or paints)

I used prismacolors for this. Crayola I can get the same effect, but it takes a lot of work with the colorless blender pencil to get rid of the dots. x_X

they have much smoother blending abilities without need of much help

When I'm in Painting class I'm like "WHERE IS THE UNDO BUTTON!!" Paint goes flying everywhere as I look for a undo button. XD
