Lemon Spring

- Lemon Spring is a positive and energetic pony. She’s the type to somehow always find herself in trouble and then seemingly effortlessly gets out of it unharmed. When she was younger, she’d always look for adventures and danger. As Lemon grew older, these tendencies got replaced by a heightened sense of justice. This lead to her often getting into fights when trying to save the day.

- She’s also a very ‘bro’ type of person, so, half of these fights usually end up being resolved somewhere at the bar. (Is this the story of how Spring managed to find like half of her friend circle? Yes. Yes, it absolutely is.)

- Lemon was born in Manehattan but spent a large part of her childhood in a faraway village/small town. Her father was in debt, so her parents decided to send Spring there to spend the time with her uncle until the whole thing is dealt with. They didn’t wanna endanger their child as the guys her father was indebted to were pretty shady.

- Spring’s cool uncle – her mother’s brother – has taught her a lot about wings’ structure, was the first pony to give her cider, and would often walk her to huge grass fields. There she got her love for speedy flying and learnt to use her smaller wings to adjust the trajectory while gliding or soaring. Later, when she’s older, she’ll use all of this practice to her advantage when partaking in flight races for money.

- She was born with an additional pair of wings. It was decided not to remove them when she was a foal as the surgery was potentially dangerous and wasn’t worth the risk. It took Lemon some time and training to learn to move them. She still has to check them at the doctor’s every year to make sure they are not interfering with the rest of her body structure/swelling/etc.

- Lemon has somewhat of an obsession with everything ‘strange’, ‘unnatural’ and ‘weird’. She has always viewed her own mutation as a feature not an issue. In her opinion, everything that makes you different from the rest isn’t bad, it just means you’re unique and special. It’s who you are and you shouldn’t be ashamed of it.

- She has trust issues: some time ago her best friend (at the time) she met at work suddenly vanished after stealing all the shop’s money from the cashbox. They used to be really close before that incident and haven’t seen each other ever since. Until Lemon met Ruby, she used to think she would never be able to create such a strong bond with anyone ever again. She needs lots of attention and constant reassuring, that she’s loved and the person remembers about her and won’t leave her.

- Quite spiritual. Lemon Spring believes that there’s magical potential in every living creature, it’s just that unicorns and alicorns have the means of concentrating and projecting their magical powers. Likes meditating, trying to find peace with the nature. She’s a fan of different relaxing hobbies like abstract drawing or weaving. Likes sunbathing.

- Her cutiemark represents her special ability of being able to tell whenever someone’s lying. Just like dreamcatchers prevent nightmares and bad intentions from entering your house, Lemon filters out and stops lies. She has seen so many different ponies and other creatures lie throughout her life, she has picked up on the different little things that give them out – like twitching in their muscles, shifty eyes, their voices changing. So slowly but surely she learnt to lie about the dumbest things with a poker face and in the most convincing tone. You can be 100% sure you've mastered a certain topic, but the sole confidence in her voice will leave you wondering whether you are wrong about everything you know.

- Doesn’t like sugar in her tea. Really likes flowers and flower crowns. Her favourite colour is khaki. Sometimes treats herself to expensive vine – only on special occasions though. Often mentions she was in a band in high school. And nope, you will not find anything to prove that statement. She’s kinda good at singing karaoke.

- She switches between different jobs (like mailpony, waitress, barista, shop assistant) depending on where she’s needed the most at the moment. Lemon has lots of connections with her ex bosses and ex co-workers, so, if need be, she can always go back to a previous workplace.
