Spike isn't much for speed, but he surely packs power into those fists he has. One hit with his steel fists can cause a lot of damage!

Spike doesn't really have much health concerns aside from his arms. He has to keep them clean daily and be extra careful with them.

He helps run his parent's general store. They have a little family business in their town. Spike is mostly the cashier and the shelf stocker, he also helps transport their store items into their storage rooms.

Pros:
Spike is a dependable and loyal guy, you can definitely count on him to start and finish something! He is very persistent and patient in almost any situation, he is willing to wait and push on through no matter how difficult things may be. He is also a very optimistic being, he sees the bright side in any situation!
Cons:
He can be a bit over-protective though, especially, when it comes to his friends/family! He is pretty stubborn too, when it comes to things that carry severe risks. He also can be possessive, when it comes to Sapphire mostly, because he is afraid of losing her to someone else. Bio(Summary):

Spike was born on May 20th XXXX at the Gem Palace Hospital. His dad Bruce Botic was naturally a nervous wreck while his mom Viva Botic was excited about his birth. Spike generally had a nice and normal childhood. His parents loved him so much and gave him all of their attention. Anything he wanted, they gave to him. Spike’s parents owned a general store in the middle of town and Spike dreamed of helping them run it. When Spike was old enough, he was enrolled into school. There he was greeted with bullies, some of the kids made fun of him due to Spike’s unusual height. He was the tallest kid in his elementary class and to add insult to injury, they made fun of his first name Spinel. He was soon defended by Sapphire Gemstone who was a brave girl and she was not afraid to tell those kids off. Spike was excited that the Princess of Paragon was defending him. The two quickly became friends and later Dusk comes into the picture. Sometime that year, Spike had feelings for both Sapphire and Dusk. He didn’t know what to do about it, so told his parents. He found out that he was bisexual. He didn’t understand it that much since he was only 5 years old. He got older and became closer to his two best friends. He went on his usual play dates with Sapphire (he was 12 years old at the time) and he met up with Sapphire’s little sister. Spike knew he had to speak up since he was taught that in school, but the fact of hurting Sapphire and the King and Queen ate at him more. Since, he liked Sapphire a lot, he decided to keep his mouth shut about her and became acquainted with her. Later in the fall, Dusk never came back to school and ditched Spike without saying a word to him. He was genuinely sad about it and hung out more with Sapphire and Ruby. On one of their play dates, Sapphire and Spike were not aloud to play outside, but they did anyway (because Sapphire was tired of Ruby annoying her and Spike, so they went outside where she knew Ruby couldn’t follow). They played tag in a nearby tall grass field. Spike tripped and fell arms first into a toxic plant called the “Blight Weed”. The skin on his arms painfully bubbled and burned. He was rushed to the Gem Palace Hospital, but it was too late to save his arms. His arms were nearly black and his skin/nerves in his arms were useless, so they had to remove them. Spike was devistated and in so much pain. His parents cared for him till his arms healed over. He was armless for a while till Sapphire built him a new pair of arms (not the greatest, but functional). He then went onto high school and life was pretty much back to normal. He dated guys and girls he liked in high school (went through the normal things in high school) and eventually graduated. After he graduated, he started dating Sapphire and they were both stuck to each other like glue from that point. Spike didn’t go to college, since he wanted to officially start helping his parents with their store. Life was good for him again and he was very comfortable and happy. Till the day comes for Sapphire’s Ceremony. He was preparing the store to close for that day, until the skies grew dark. Spike noticed the Gem Palace was turning the ice and the clouds rained snow. Spike managed to escape from touching the ice and quickly ran over to the Gem Palace as quick as he could. He found devistation when he got there. Sapphire was paralyzed in fear. Spike was in shock with what had happened in front of him.
