"Ruby, did I ever tell you that I have a crush on you?" asked Hatty. Ruby turned around in a thrill. "REALLY?! YOU MEAN IT?!" she begun but stopped on her tracks. "Wait a second...it's April Fools... that was a lie wasn't it?" Ruby said narrowing her eyes at him. Hatty had a surprised look on his face. Ruby then ran away yelling, "I WON'T BE FOOLED THIS YEAR! NO SIRS!" Hatty then tried to tell her, "Wait!" but she was gone. As he was left in the halls since Ruby ran away to her cell, he then finished his sentence:

"I meant it..."
