Chaos Inferno Ruby's Story

It was 2079... It was a time of confusion, casualties, and chaos... I was only

seven then, but i remember it like it was only a moment ago.. Everyone was

afraid... afraid of who would be the next victim... That day was the day i had lost

everything. My town was invaded, and as me and my thirteen year-old brother hid

in the basement with my mother, we could hear the soldiers marching trough the

streets and the blood curtiling screams of their victims. They busted down our

door and searched the house for us. My mother made me and my brother hide

under the steps if the soldier ever came down stairs, and they did. My mom was

the first to go. My brother couldn't take it. He tried to fight them but.. it only ended

in tragedy. I sat underneath the steps holing back every emoition, and I ready to

burst. The soldiers left soon after. I couldn't look at them. I just ran up the stairs

and out the door, and i never stopped. I couldn't belive what was happening

around me. Then I was stopped dead in my tracks by none other than Death

himself. "So this really is the end," i thought. Darkness engulfed me and i passed

out. I awoke in a dark room with several other kids around my age.. I would soon

learn that me and these kids hold the key to a new beginning. Three dark figures

appeard before us. One of them being Death.

"You.. all of you.. you are all the only hope for a new future," one of the figures

said. " You all have been chosen to save all life of the future."

"Why us? We can't save the world!" one of the kids said.

"But you can," says the other figure. "You all have something that separates you

from everyone else. Before you were even born your destinies were already set."

With those words we were sent back.. Now here all of us stand.. The hope for the

future lying in the hands of a group of children.
