Going off what ~Angelfur about the the chinese proverb "better to write things down than rely on memory alone" on the hsssssss pic. new theory: the OCs are constantly forgetting details and must find ways to remember them. Ink maybe then takes what they write and distorts it to his own purposes?

Ok so here's my theory as to what that guy wrote on the paper:
"Dear diary, It's day 784 having this gas mask super glued to my face and the darned thing is starting to smell funky. In more positive matters, I've finally stolen enough mailla paper to finger paint as much as I'd like. It'd be a nice prospect if it were not for the lenses of the mask fogging up all the time, but I'll make due. I'll have to stop for now, the candlestick is watching me and I can't risk It reading this. Farewell for now"

Anyway: There's something dripping from the pencil; candle wax? Unknown person is writing in a diary, perhaps it ties in with "the palest ink is better than the best memory"? Are those artist's comments relevant at all?
Random theory(ies): So far the titles are all sounds and the pictures are very dark. The asylum or mad place or wherever is very run-down.
