I've been having a LOT of dreams of these yellow babies. Some of them pretty disturbing.water color pencil... more experimenting

Glad that came across as I hoped. The babies are always very ill or dead or some horrible tragedy is befalling them. And I can never save them as much as I try desperately.

had a similar experience this past summer with snakes.some unknown virus/fungus wiped out a good portion of my keep, the kindest thing i could do was euthanize them.

There's something weirdly authentic about this piece; there's real conviction here. From someone else's paintbrush, this might read as a cartoon, but this strikes me more as a kind of visitation... compelling and beautifully done.

I've drawn these as cartoons but the original was a whole crowd of these yellow babies running from a very scary giant from the ocean done in oil paints. Wish I still had that one, but I sold it to someone in high school because I just didn't feel like taking it on the school bus. HA

Ah, jeepers, the one that got away...
That sounds like something i'd really love to see, Ruby; maybe if the vision persists, you'll find yourself wanting to paint it again, and, um, maybe posting it here, and, uh, maybe making it available as a print, also...
