I’ve been sick all week, and wanted to post SOMETHING even if I haven’t gotten my paints out. So I whipped out my brushpen and did a few portraits of some of the merchant NPCs from Quest for Glory 2. They’re all cat-people (katta), and one of the things I love about this game is that even the NPC that you buy ONE thing from in the entire game gets a minimum of development, like how many of them are inter-related, or the meaning of their name. Lisha, the flower merchant, tells you that her name means "quiet one."

My main focus was on trying to give each of the katta a distinct appearance without the shorthand of their color coded clothing. For Lisha, I tried to include flowers that do well in heat, and at least two desert-specific flowers.
