Blue Blood...

The final picture from that series. For this piece I wanted to try something different. Something softer, but something detailed. Something Pawn-related. Viola has loads of fancy intricate dresses, so this wouldn't be hard at all. So I sketched her , but I had no idiom for her. After much thought I finally found the perect match: blue blood. A blue blood is someone from the highest social class or of nobility.

Yep. Anyone who knows Viola Maslov knows she is a fussy little noblegirl. Her family ranks amongst the highest nobles in all of alternate-England. However, with such nobility comes great isolation. Thus the void of the picture. The tree symbolizes how nobility is found in your roots, or your family tree, if you will. The lifelessness of the tree represents the lack of liveliness in the life of a noble. The blue dripping from the tree represents the blood that runs through her family as well as it represents icicles which symbolizes the cold nature of the Maslovs as does the dead tree... symbol-ception much?

Ugh that was stupid. The photo quality is... like... really bad... again. But then again, the picture wasn't really that good to begin with. I'm sorry about that.

All traditional, all colored penicils, only color-tweaked in photoshop for your viewing pleasure. Hope you like it.
