Mary is the little sister of the Flying Scotsman as she is similar to her brothers in train forms. She's a total sweetheart yet is innocent as she is oblivious to how many suitors she has as she carries cargo or passengers for those who are unable to sometimes. She is called 'Queen of the Railways' because of those reasons above.
