As of late, other than playing some games on my Nintendo Switch, I have been replaying some DS games that I enjoyed, but couldn't complete, when I was younger. One of those games is 'Bowser's Inside Story', which may be on my top Mario games list so far for being such good fun. Not only does it feature original settings and a strong antagonist to drive the plot, but it showcases Bowser as a full-fledged character rather than just an antagonist.

One of the things that stands out to me for this game is its great placement of humour and puns: ranging from the interactions between the Mario Bros., the panic of the Toads, and Bowser's silly decisions, humiliation, and loss of temper. It is great that, as a young adult, I can fully appreciate the comedy and finally catch on to more of the innuendos that once flew over my head. One example of this being Broque Madame's 'massage' mini-games that are laced with flirtation.

I added Broque Monsieur and Broggy due to having recently collected all his adorable Blitties to unlock Broggy as a Bowser special attack. Also, it is outright stated that Broque Monsieur and Broque Madame have been lovers too. It was nice practicing Bowser in this piece since he is one of the harder character designs to emulate. I find that practicing in my sketchbook first helps in cases like that!
