Description

This is a correction for ~UiaBird On uiabird.deviantart.com/art/Meh… not perfect , so there are mistakes, but I thought I could help nonetheless. I left out the clothing because I thought help on body shape was more important at the moment.

Okay, lets get right to the chase. I've done a few corrections for you so you know basics. You also did well on the proportions for this so I don't have much to say about that. One little tiny thing that could help is the shoulders. You have them just a bit wide. Some females have wide shoulders, but they are generally nice and small.

On figure A, I draw a head similar to the head you drew on the picture. It just has some guidelines and stuff that might help as far as the face goes, but what I really want you to focus on is the shoulders. See how the neck connects to the shoulders? And how the shoulders slope? Keep that in mind. The way you drew the shoulders made her look a little tense when the pose seemed to be a very relaxed one. Also, the neck/shoulder connection is a little more defined. Don't make is a sharp angle, but a little more of an angled look is nice.

Figure D shows the whole pose together with the feet. You did a very good job of showing what the pose should be, so it was easy to draw it. The feel would be a little bigger than what you had them as and I think the angle of the elbow bend would be a bit sharper. Other than that, the actual pose is nice.

Figure C and F show the arm and the curves it has. I made them a little muscular so you know where the muscles are. Right at the elbow, the arm is small, the widens, then is small again at the wrist. The mean on the arm makes that little bulge in the arm when you bend it, and the elbow has an irregular shape. Best thing to do to figure elbows out is to look at them. Really.. I'm telling you to stare at people's elbows xD.

Figure B and E show the legs. When I draw guidelines for legs, I make them curved. The side view of a leg is lie an "s." The front view is like two sideways hills. The knee bulges out a bit, and the ankle bones are visible most of the time. The legs are basically split in half at the knee, so the calf and thigh are about the same length.

Figure G is just for shading. Most things on the body are either cylinders or circles. Knowing how to shade those will help a lot. Also (as people will say over and over again) Looking at real life people will help a lot with shading. Trust me. It really does help. It isn't just a saying.

Well that's about it! I'm not perfect and neither is my advice, but I do my best. The best way to learn is from experience, so keep trying. And don't try to be perfect right away. You will never be perfect. That is just a fact. But you can get really good. And you already are good. So never give up because if you give up, you can never succeed.

Have a nice day

Your Meh Friend,

Ruby Stone

Thank you so much! So the general shape of the muscles is what I need to work on right?
