well i don't make the pic full (most of this pic in fact was someones work)
what i do is take someones work and modify it into a poster
unlike the site were the rest come from
those can't always fit (my work allows me to take a pic that a friend requests postered)
since most pics have to be small to fit i make it so any pic of any size can be done
and i take free request, as long as u have a pic u want done (but if u want a pic done quick is determined by points)
also right now i am going to be away for a while so if u note a request it might take a while

That's asking for permission, not actually having it. When you submit something on dA, you are claiming that you have the copyright. Thing is, you don't. Wait until the artist has replied. It's more than just about being polite. If you don't have permission, people can come along and report the deviation.
