Description
Last night I felt I needed to draw something a little different and eventually came up with the idea to just draw an anime style bedroom with the reference being the room of a character called Yoshioka Futaba. The character herself was in the original image but I wanted to do a scenery only drawing which was pretty relaxing as drawing out the different objects is not too stressful and the colouring went by quicker than I expected. I was not sure about what the wall colours of the original image were suppose to be so I went screw it and just made them yellow since its my favourite colour and it made for a very nice colour. A thing that bugs me is the middle area of the wall feels too empty but its probably just a by comparison thing since the rest of the area has a bunch of decorations and I'm starting to get use to it.

The box in the bottom left corner was the starting point as I prefer to start at the bottom of a piece of paper plus I worked from left to right (I forgot to colour the box lol). I was a bit worried about drawing the bed as its from a front view and I thought a sky view would of worked better in my style but the covers and sheets came out quite cute especially with the shelf and cuddly toys behind it. Outline wise the chair and desk felt a bit rough but after colouring them I feel the design came out a lot better (I used the rub out a gray tone effect for the white tone) and is the part that draws my eyes the most. The walls angling also worked out and the window being cut off created added to the look of the room, this is one of those drawings where the individual parts are more simple but they create a nice formation .
