I can't remember why but I remember bringing up a melon cake to a friend and they were like "Don't think that would work" and then I got them into the idea of it lol. I also did a two digital ones side by side about 2 weeks ago so for today thought I would post a traditional style one and feel pretty happy with how it came out . I was going to try and draw a slice cut out on a plate but I forgot when I started it lol so just drew it in a full cake form with some melon sweets on top . The sponge is red to try and match the inside colour of a melon and I drew chocolate along its body instead as I usually do red jam but thought it may of not stood out against the sponge due to it being red this time.

Took me a few tries to get the outer layer of the top icing right, I may be a little rusty with cake drawings lol good thing its February where I draw like 3 of these cakes lol. The sponge felt a little too wide when I was drawing it but that may be down to me not curving it enough in wards or the angle of the top icing as the right side curves further up than the left side. Normally I make the bottom of the cakes icing a little pointier and have more layers but I kept it simple and round here to try and match it with the first outer layer at the top. As always feel free to take a slice if you wish cause cake is better when shared =^-^=.
