Description Darth Vader, the Chosen One of Jedi-Sith Lore, and junior Dark Lord of the Sith, under senior Dark Lord, Darth Sidious. Beyond the restorer of balance, the one who almost single handedly eradicated the Jedi, bringing the Sith into dominance. If anyone doesn't know who this character is, you're either from like Somalia, or don't watch any movies made after the 70s. This took a fairly long time to do, and I do realize that his lines aren't 100% perfect/semetrical. Also, his body armor under his cape was really hard to draw, due to it being so low on the paper, I couldn't get good leverage to draw it, so it was half-assed, sorry. Anyways, hail Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith.

Nice vader pic!, Its ok because the helmit for episodes 4,5 and 6 was moulded and finished by hand was never truely 100% simetrical anyway!,
the helmit used in episode 3 was as it was disigned on computer and sculpted in plastic by a machine connected to the computer and finished by hand! The armour looks fine as tho its black is also verry shiney altogether a sound representation of poor anikin!, Definately more powerful than sidious tho couldnt really achieve full potential as a sith because of his life support suit and metal hands ment he could never cast sith lightning leaving him at the mercy of his master sideous!
In the end tho protects his son kills the sith and turns to the light side of the force and becomes a jedi ghost!, So its all gravy!

Wow, I'm glad you really liked my Vader Portrait. Yeah, I knew his masks for the original trilogy was remade for each individual film. If you notice between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back, Vader's helmet is much shinier and the lenses of his goggles are much darker. Anyways, thanks man.

And in empire just after lukes hand gets sabre'd off and vaders doing hes join me speach! The top part of hes helmit is seen blowing in the wind! The only time the vader suit had a costume failure! Still the best scincefiction films ever! my favourite incarnation of the vader suit has to be in revenge of the sith! (Even tho there all versions of the same suit!)It just looked solid sleek and menacing like a tecno black samuri armor! James earl jones's voice and that suit are a legendary filmmaking combo!

Personally I like the really reflective look his armor has in Return of the Jedi, but I like the redder eyes he has in New Hope. Either way, he's awesome, no doubt.

Yes the suit definately rocks! I like the way as his mask was being put on / assembled in ep 3 the internal view as the faceplate was lowered showing the orangey heads up display on the eyes! Showing why the lenses appear to glow orangey red from the outside! Of the earlyer videogames showed the stormtrooper helmits having similar internal view!

Yeah, it was cool to see the mask's lenses opening up. I like how they showed just how screwed up Vader was, he lost his legs above the knees, his one arm near the elbow, burns, all that jazz. I had a hard time telling if he lost his left arm above or below the elbow. The best part of Revenge of the Sith is when Vader, fully armored, walking on the bridge of a Star Destroyer meeting with the Emperor and Grand Moff Tarkin. Vader leers at Tarkin, and he and the Emperor gaze on the early stages of the Death Star, best scene in the whole film.

Yeah I agree and when hes too near the lava and catches fire and has to claw his way up the sloap with his metalic hand! Wich itself would be superheated by the heat given off of the boiling lava the conection ware his arm fitted into the prothsetic arm must have been agony, I know obiwan took it anikin was dieing but I couldnt of left him like that to suffer i'd of havd to finish him off like a warrior, or at the verry least force lift him into the lava for a warriors cremation/funeral!, yep the that final scene was like rise of the empire the newly under construction death star the republic star destroyers given a light gray battleship painjob the v-wings and there r2 unit co-pilots painted jet black and sounding like tie fighters and yes a younger grand moff tarkin! (I liked the way he looked like a younger peter cushing!) overseeing the deathstars construction!, a cool end to a cool film!, Cant wait to see em all in order and newly in 3D at the cinemas starting next year with phantom menace!

Was this done with charcoal?

No, mostly done in 6B pencil. At least that's what I used to get everything real dark. The outline is in my standard 2H pencil, not too dark, easy to erase.
