Description This is my one of my old Lady Gaga drawings that I really messed with in my photo program.  I like the effect, it represents how I feel inside right now.  Empty, but still about to explode.  Let me know what you guys think.

*EDIT* I just changed the title, no biggie.

Oh my gosh!!!! This is absolutely fantastic!!!!The effect is absolutely brilliant, and the pose is absolutely stunning. I think this may be my favorite piece you've made~

Personally, I prefer the original black and white version I did, however, for NO reason at all, there was  red speck on it from one of my red colored pencils. That makes no sense since it is in a tablet that is only for black and white drawings. I have no idea where that piece of red wax came from....

Anyways, because of that, I had to go over with some whit out and if I scanned it again, that teeny, tiny piece of whiteout would stick out and drive me insane, and then to suicide due to the massive offense it causes.  I'm glad you like this piece though, I toyed with it in my Picasa 3 program. Have you seen the original black and white version?

I have seen it actually~ And it's really nice, but I couldn't help but be moved by this rendition you made. There's just something about it, just catches my eye! Well, I mean, yeah, it's read, but the over all color choices, the slight blur at the feet & outer sections, it's brilliant.

And I HATE when flecks & specks get on my art... I'll be done, totally pristine, and suddenly a black dot appears in the middle of a colored piece. That's the worst feeling. Especially on pieces that you spend a lot of time & effort on. You feel so accomplished, then zero to pissed

But at least you came to a great solution. Even if you don't like this quite as much as the original, I feel this is a very creative way to deal with the problem

Oh my God, when the magic black dot appears out of no where, or the little rogue speck of blue that makes its home in your nice, beautiful layer of yellow you just put down, suicide is a viable option to deal with the rage!!!

Yeah, I use a program, Picasa 3, it allows me to add those weird colors and then change the focal points of the art pieces. It's a really nice program to have that isn't too complicated that I can't use it. It's what I use to increase the contrast on my drawings, since whenever I do scan them they tend to lose a bit of color and become slightly dull.

But anyways, I'm glad you like this piece, that makes me happy.

Picasa? I've never heard of it :3 But it looks like it's a good program :3

And I know how you feel. Even with a nice scanner the colors change a bit.

And of course! It's a wonderful piece. Sorry it took so long to respond. Been trying to catch up... then I realized that I should start from the back & work forwards.

Yeah, if you want to get Picasa, it's a free download, just Google search it. I think the version I have is Picasa 3. It's how to do the borders and stuff in some of my drawings. It's no Photoshop, but it's easy and simple for me to use.

And don't sweat it, I understand you're busy. I look forward to more nice art out of you soon.

See, I don't have that problem, I prefer to use as little modern technology in my art as I can. Simply because, I'm not good at it and I don't like it using that stuff.

So, classes start for you soon? Taking anything interesting?

I will have a marketing class that I am really looking forward to :3

But digital art isn't for everyone. I really only do it to save supplies & money for backgrounds. I love the feel of pens too much to totally give them up

RudiciusCaesar In reply to DestroyedChildhood [2014-01-07 00:37:12 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I see the financial appeal of digital art, but I love the smell of my colored pencils, the feel of the paper against my skin, I enjoy the sound of the pencils against the paper too. I guess it's a therapeutic thing for me.

Lucky me, I have no classes this semester lol. Good luck with your marketing class, I hope it's enjoyable and not a let down.

That's totally legitimate. Drawing & painting makes me feel better as well. Not so much the smell in my case (it can give me a head ache if I doodle too long ), but I agree with the feel for sure. I love using different kinds of papers. I often buy my sketchbooks based off how they feel. I have to hold them & monkey with them before I buy them lol~

And I am so jealous.... I have 3 quarters left. But I'm almost there. So close lol.

Yeah, I kinda feel bad for those artists on DA who don't use paper and pencil. It really calls into question whether they can draw with pencils and what not.

Also, yeah, I can't use my Prismacolor markers for too long or I get a headache from them. I really wish they could do something about that lol.

Well, maybe they only post their digital work since it's their fave medium? I know Kip is really good at physical painting & drawing, but only posts his digital work.

Yeah, I know some like that as well, but I've also met people who can't use normal pencil and paper.

Ah this is not bad. I can understand this as becoming a new mom is a stressful thing. My dad said it was scarey when I was a baby because being a parent was something new to him.
