Another Christmas Commish. This one is the Dark Knight. I stayed away from reproducing a movie still or poster. This was done in inkwash, my new favorite technique.Dark knight Batman copyright DC comics

yeah I noticed that. but you really use gray tones to nicely. you really have an amazing sense of where the shadows and light should be.

This looks awesome. I was going to say how the head looks a little big, but then I realized that so many artist interpretations of Batman make him look like the mask is painted onto his skull, where as here it actually looks much like a helmet as it did in the movie. It should appear bigger than a head, and it's done right.
I don't know much about inkwash, but I can see you really enjoy the technique.

Oh man, I love the techniue, it flows so easily. You're right about the head, it's a tricky thing to interpret in art when imitating real life. Sometimes they don't translate from one to the other.

Yeah... It got annoying to watch really. Most of the time I thought he was just wearing a flat non-scalloped cape. It only looked like "batty" when it was stretched out in glide mode. Very depressing. Good to hear from you dude.

Is it me or have you exponentially improved. Not to smite your other superb efforts, but this is really good. There's texture and depth of field that I don't often feel in your other pics. Perhaps the medium here adds more weight to the props.
Again, no disrespect intended to your past pieces, I thought they were all great but suddenly great has been surpassed by superb.
