I promised myself I would not try to play and untangle the complicated chronology game, but darn it...I fell into that trap!The only thing we know for sure is Firelord Azulon's age at death: 95, as mentionned in an interview with the creators.
Iroh looks older than his brother Ozai, and it wouldn't be surprising if he was close to twice his age. So Iroh could be anywhere between 25-30 by the time Ozai was born, which could put Azulon in his 60's.
Alright, I'll stop here before I go in too deep and get confusticated with people's ages and chronology.
Still, when Iroh learned the news he would have a younger sibling, it must have come as quite a shock (happened to my cousins actually)!
Rough pencils: two thumbnails done on one 8,5X11 piece of paper. I just put the pages one above the other for easier reading. Just a bunch of talking heads again.
All characters belong to Bryan, Mike, Nickelodeon and Viacom. Trying to make sense of that world can cause headaches.

Love the J^2 logic and his 'my fingers show logic'-ness. *still counts on her fingers sometimes* Could you IMAGE if Ozai was a girl? I mean, would he be sweet and dizty like TyLee or Azula? DEAR GODS. Iroh stuck with Azula for a sister. X__X;; *brain explodes* Poor guy, that'd be horrible.
Query Is that circle on near Iroh's butt in the panel part of his uniform or is J^2 trying to get friendly? *IrohxJ^2 4eva, lol*

If Ozai was a girl, I'm definitely getting Azula type vibes here.
The circle thing is something that's actully part of the armour...d'oh, I may have missed drawing it in the other panel.

Excellent as always. My only issue with it is that I don't think the age gap between Iroh and Ozai is quite that wide. I imagine it's about fifteen years--atypically large, but Iroh would hardly be a decorated officer at that point.

I'm not sure myself...I can only go upon their looks, and we've never seen Ozai's face...well, a bit of chin, is all. So, if Iroh looks in his early 60's or late 50's, that would put Ozai at mid 40's.
15 years might be atypically large, but seeing my cousins having a 30 years age gap with their new sister...is not impossible.
Still, this is all just speculation. Perhaps it will become a bit clearer, come season 3.

I've always figured Iroh to be in his mid-fifties in the series. Maybe it's 'cause I'm almost 30 myself, but he doesn't look as old to me as he apparently does to some people, especially once you account for stress and the occasional drunken frat party.

I love Iroh's reaction to his father's age- I get that when I mention how old my father is to people. (He's sixty and I'm in High School.) I almost wish there would have been a younger sister! I just have this mental image of Iroh in pigtails, though....

The child is Lu-Ten (sp?), right? So if they just got the news, they must've left the Fire Nation not too long ago. I still like these notes because it includes the cool Jeong Jeong we miss. Keep it up, and hopefully we'll get more of those Alternate Universe comics!
