Another obscure cross over from me (sorry!)Avatar and Rat-Man from Leo Ortolani (Italian cartoonist). I have been a HUGE fan of Ortolani's work- his writing and comedic pacing is pure genius (in my opinion). Definitely was one of my biggest influence in the past ten years. I wish his books were translated in english, would make for an easier read.
Started with the blue doodles at the top, ended up doing a line up in colors.
Avatar cast of characters belong to Mike, Bryan and Nickelodeon. The Rat-Man style belongs to Leo Ortolani *I bow to him in worship*

I am also a big fan of RatMan, which is very popular here in Italy, and I was inspired by Ortolani in the last years too.. it was a really nice surprise to find something alike on DA!

It's really a pity that they didn't translate Ratman in english but it would be so tough to translate all the stupid puns...

A lot can get lost in translation- and yet, if they can translate Asterix in english, It could be done.
But maybe the americans are not quite ready for Rat-Man humour. XD
Ah well, I'll keep promoting it in my own way until someone wakes up and publish his books here.

but...are you italian? (i read you're from canada)..i mean..i'd never thought Leo can be famous in other countries (i think 90% his gags can works only in italian)

Oh no, I was in Italy for 6 months an that's it- just enough to find the Rat-Man books and learn a tiny tiny bit of italian.
