i dont blame nick for that last crash i blame zootopia's horrible fire hydrant placement abilities. it's literally in the parking spot. I guess after years of dealing with it the cops at precinct 1 would learn to not hit it but mammals would occational crash into it.

I echo the person below! I often wonder what it would be like for the Zootopia creators to see this, I feel like they'd be so happy to see people taking their world and creating rich new stories for their characters with a wonderful spin on their art. This comic always got the tone just right in every way: in the dialogue, in the simple but fun story, down to the vibrant colors and shapes and sense of fun in everything that happens in the comic. It was definitely, in my obviously subjective opinion, the best Zootopia comic--there are other good ones, even great ones like Sunderance or Judy is Dead, but this one's simply got that magic.Β
So--if you think the book's closed on this one and nobody still reads or remembers it, you're quite wrong. I definitely get that this doesn't produce income, and art takes time. It's certainly your decision whether or not to continue to invest your limited time and resources into creating this story. But if you do, know that you'll always have an audience. From a business perspective, I'm sure there's an argument somewhere about this being a form of advertising and exposure, but I don't know nearly enough about these things to know if it's in any way worth it.
Cheers, and thanks for putting so much time into this work that's made so many people smile.

And here we are at the end of a beautiful road with beautiful flat black asphalt with this sad looking "DEAD END" sign... While I'd wish the journey lasted longer I enjoyed every page of it. This is no doubt one of the best comics which I've found - it isn't mostly based on the shipping scenario like the majority, has great jokes (on the last couple pages I couldn't stop laughing at Nick pro driving lessons) and the true gem - THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS - these have been truly mastered, the character desings are beautiful as well (if someone told me this is official Disney art I would believe him straight away). Seeing such a beautiful work and knowing it will never have a proper ending makes me sad... But at the same time I'm thankful for the 25 pages which made my day a little bit better (it's monday today, that was really great help, thanks!).
I've always been told not to ever lose hope... Christmas and New Year are coming soon, maybe a little surprise for the fans? :3Β

Hello, it seems to be a concern that you haven't posted any more of this comic as of yet, and we understand if you don't want to continue it (if you don't), but, if you're still continuing this comic, what exactly is the delay for?

It's just I don't get any benefits for it. I can do the comic but I don't get any income off of it. And I have other projects and commissions that I'm doing so I don't really have a good reason to continue.Β

I don't know, make a fresh, colored version for income and a not-so-fresh, non-colored one for free on dA. Β Either that or you could just do it for the heck of it from time to time, it's really up to you, not some random person on the internet such as myself. Β Also, maybe use your artistic abilities elsewhere, like Disney, or somewhere that isn't the internet that makes more money. Β You have the talent for it, so why make a career on the internet and not a place that can use your talent? Β Heck, why not make your art and auction it off? Β I mean, those are, admittedly, very ambitious, but it doesn't hurt to try. Β I can't tell you how to live, but if I were you and in your position, I would do what all that can do to find a career in the arts, unless that isn't what you want, which is fine. Β It's your choice, though, whether you stay here making art commissions for strangers and/or internet friends, or be in the big leagues. Β It's your call.

That's what I'm doing and why I haven't made stuff for the comic. I'm building my portfolio and making it as good as I can. The commission stuff and the comic are just side things that happen when I get time. I know what you mean and I have been doing just that.Β

Nah, you weren't bothering me. Don't worry about it. Just agreeing with what you've said and that I've been technically doing what you have been saying. I know my message seemed meaner that it should've been.
