The illustration depicts a desperate moment in the Pacific Theatre, as Japanese commanders, recognizing the impending defeat, commanded "banzai charges" - human wave attacks - to try and stall the advancing Allied Forces. These attempts, however, proved futile for the Japanese.This artwork is featured in Devil Pig Games' newest addition to their "Heroes" series, "Heroes of the Pacific."
