- I meant to redo this last year, but here it is! FINALLY. A remake of Penguin for a Penguin , which was.. oddly more popular than anything I've ever submitted on either of my accounts, ever. Seriously you guys? Srsly? `steals attention from other account`
I opted to remove the text this time though, but really-- it's still cute. I think so anyway. :3

As for artsy related.
I spent THREE WHOLE DAYS working on this thing. I doodled it up a while ago then went at it in Photoshop, "inking" and all. I uhh.. the heart thing was an accident. A wonderful accident, but an accident nonetheless. Crazy effects! Watch out!
Valentine's Day.
I actually uploaded the original on February 14th back in 2007, but quite frankly-- I really felt like uploading this early. I also don't know if I'll be on the Internet long enough to put it up anyway. Haha!
Mine, please! No copying and all the such like. Happy (early) Valentine's. Go eat some nommy chocolate and roll in someones pile of roses for me. <3

The effect of the heart around the two is just amazingly detailed though, what program do you use?

As for the effect, I was mucking around looking for a way to make it look neat. (That wasn't actually what I had in mind at all, hah.) Originally it I had just drawn a silly heart and planned on finding a way to smooth it out and make it look nicer, but I accidentally clicked the Liquify tool (under the 'filter' drop-down in Photoshop CS) so I swirled it around and that's what happened. Mostly an accident, but an awesome one anyway. xD

oh I love the liquify tool<3 Its one of my specialties in CS, which is what I use, haha who says its outdated? lol xD
Never regret a silly experimentation, either way you'll end up learning something valuable, or even get ahuge success like you did! ^_^

The liquify tool is pretty neat. I'd likely of never used it had my hand not accidentally skimmed over the touchpad on my lappy when I was trying to use my mouse, hah. I still wouldn't mind CS4 one day though, with it's "rotating canvas".

I only ever got to play with CS4 briefly when I was in college last fall. It was pretty neat though. I need to learn how to more things though, hah. My friend ~AngelP says she'll come over one day and show me some nifty tricks with the program.
I've got Open Canvas kick'n it somewhere too though. I kind of miss some of the neat little things I could do with Paintshop Pro though. D:

I went to an art orientated institute type of university for part time courses, which is why I got to play with it. Hehe.
As for Open Canvas, it's just a free version. I'm too cheap to pay for it when I can rip things off the Interwebs. o3o

I went to Vanarts, it's the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts. Not the best school, but it was only part time. Picked up some neat stuff though. I went more for 2D Animation. One day I'd like to go to VFS though, or one of the other schools.
