The Theme for Wayfinder #7 was the first years of Pathfinder.So I illustrated one of my favorite parts, The Backgroundstory of the iconic Barbarian Amiri. To be precise, the moment when her rage cooled off and she realized what she had done.

Ah, yes. That first kill is never easy, even for someone who faces death every day. There's something about killing a person, someone you see as a person,Β for the first time that really takes the wind out of you, and in Amiri's case, you've captured that feeling perfectly here.

This is incredible, with just the right amount of detail in the background to keep the focus on Amiri while letting you know what's gone on around her. The composition really adds a lot more to the picture and heightens the emotion of it.
