Well, it depends on what you see as a problem too. There is always room to improve any illustration. But for now, let's say you could relax on making your lines so heavy, instead do more of them but softer strokes. Feather the page with gentle strokes & make many to darken you lines & create the drawing.

Excellent! I too use a mechanical pencil... Look at my signature below this message. It tells everything I have always used for drawing.

Now, feathering the page is simply using the smallest pressure while using the pencil. It is important to relax your grip, & the the pencil rest comfortably in your hand. With the lead just resting on the page, let the weight of the pencil do most of the work.

To really practice the feather technique, use the B, 2B, 4B, & even the 6B kind of soft leads. They will break under too much pressure, & you will have to learn to be gentler with those leads. As soft as they are, they will give you nice & dark lines... But don't worry about dark lines so much till you are finishing up a picture. A 5mm pencil is what I have always used as well & I have used it for well over 20 years since they invented them when I was in elementary school.

If you have time, really look at some of my pictures... I uploaded all high resolution so you can really zoom in & see what I do for all my strokes. Look at pictures that are not so completed, & also visit my scrapbook... Lots of sketches there too so you can see how I used to work.

Most important, is draw a lot, & draw often. More than you do now. Double it!!! Draw every moment you get, & work with similar characters you already have too. That will benefit them to undergo the transformations your art will experience. Before you know it, you will have generations of improvements done with your characters, & each phase looking better than the last.

Finally, I understand your English just fine my friend. Please except my apologies for not being able to articulate things better in a language you are comfortable with... I wasn't smart enough to pursue a proper education & stuck with my native language... Now I have to work my body like a slave because of bad decision-making with life.

Cheers.
